Canon Character Information
Appearance: Leslie is a slender woman with naturally lightly tanned skin, shoulder length black hair and lovely brown eyes. She stands 5’7”, though with heels her height varies. She is considered by many pretty, even beautiful though she doesn't think too much on it. Her choice in clothing is professional - blouses and skirts and she always looks well put together.

Personality: Doctor Leslie Thompkins is unfailingly kind and caring, and is involved with charity work as well as her job as the medical examiner. She genuinely cares about those around her - which has helped her in her last job at Arkham Asylum where she worked as a doctor. There she treated the female inmates and tried to treat them as actual people and not just patients in a mental institution. Though she wasn't the type of Doctor who coddled her patients - if they weren't injured, she'd send them on their way.

Though she's friendly, she's not someone who takes a lot of crap from people. She's someone who really tried to stand up for what she believes in and has a pretty strong set of morals. She tries to be honest with those around her and in return she expects the same - which she told her ex-fiancee Jim Gordon over and over again. She's not really a goody two-shoes and she really does understand how things work in the city and she knows that sometimes you might have to cross a line to get things done. But she's truly trying to live in a world that she wants to live in and can be proud of. She's not someone who's afraid to get her hands dirty - because she will if she needs to. She really wants to be part of whatever force can make the city of Gotham a better place.

Leslie is strong, confidant and she's smart. She's very pragmatic and really isn't all that fazed by the craziness that surrounds Gotham - probably because she'd been dragged into that craziness time and time again because she was in a relationship with Jim Gordon. Leslie’s very unabashed and speaks her mind, and had no problem telling Jim when she thought he was taking things too far and getting too involved in the craziness of the city.

She frequently helped Jim with his cases. She even provided trauma counseling for his ex-fiancee, Barbara Kean after she'd been kidnapped by a serial killer who had seemingly killed her parents. Barbara ended up telling Leslie that she, not Jason Lennon had killed her parents and attacked Leslie with a knife. Leslie ends up knocking Barbara out, showing that even though she wants to help people, she's not afraid to protect herself when she needs to. This isn't even the last time she had a run in with Barbara. She for the most part attempted to be the voice of reason for Jim but in the end, he was just to involved with everything and she ended up being pushed away.

It's pretty difficult to get on Leslie's bad side, but when someone gets there, Leslie can be very abrupt and even outright rude with them. She's called Barbara a crazy bitch on more than one occasion and has even fought with her (mainly because Barbara attacked her). She's really not afraid to let people know what she thinks of them. When she first met Jim, she told him she thought he was brave but later on in their relationship, she told him that she thought he was being reckless.

Leslie loved Jim Gordon with her whole heart and wanted to marry him and have a family with him. She wanted him to leave Gotham with her so they could raise their baby in a safe place. She wanted to believe that their family would be enough to draw Jim out of the darkness that he started falling into. Even after he was arrested for a murder he didn't commit, she wanted to make things work and told him she'd wait for him. He told her to leave and move on with her life. She was heartbroken and devastated and though she hated leaving him in jail, she did leave. She lost their baby and ended up leaving Gotham and heading South so she could heal both physically and mentally. She hoped that Jim would come for her when he was cleared of his charges but she even though she needed the support and help, she also knew she needed to heal herself.

What 4 items would you like your character to have with them on the island during their stay? Her medical bag, her cat, a cookbook full of recipes she got from her sister, as she was leaving Gotham when she was taken, I'd like her to have a small rolling suitcase full of some of her clothing and cosmetics.

First Person: [The feed begins and there's a pretty lady with her dark hair loose around her shoulders. She might look familiar to some, and she already knows that but what can she do about that? Nothing really.]

Hi. [She makes herself smile because really, she's thinking that this is all pretty crazy still.] I'm pretty new around here... I'm Doctor Leslie Thompkins. I was told that there are some clinics around the islands that might need some help.

[She clears her throat and exhales slowly.]

I'm a physician but I've also worked as a medical examiner so if there's anything available medically or forensically? I'm more than willing to help out.

[Honestly, she just needs something to do to keep her from overthinking everything - back home, flying boats, floating islands and apparently more than one person who looks like her. She just needs to keep busy. Very busy.]
